Well, good afternoon sports fans. I am here from Columbus, Ohio not necessarily as a Buckeyes fan although I am but I'm here to proclaim for you the glorious salvation found in Jesus Christ and the basis of that salvation is his resurrection from the dead so there is one person who has died and come back to life and shown himself and he raised himself. The Father brought him from the dead, Jesus Christ.
And this was in order to exhibit his power over death and his power over sin. I want to read to you the account. This is from the book of 1 Corinthians. And the Apostle Paul writes, Now I would remind you, brothers, of the gospel I preached to you, which you received and which you stand and by which you are being saved if you hold fast to the word I preached to you unless you believed in vain He talking about the gospel The gospel is the good news that I'm proclaiming to you today of salvation in Jesus Christ.
For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins in accordance with the scriptures, that he was buried, that he was raised on the third day in accordance with the Scriptures, and that he appeared to Cephas, then to the twelve. Then he appeared to more than 500 brothers at one time, most of whom are still alive, though some have died. Then he appeared to James, then to all the apostles.
Last of all, as to one untimely born, he appeared also to me. That's the Apostle Paul writing about Jesus Christ appearing to him and saving him from his sins. Amen. But by the grace of God I am what I am, and his grace toward me was not in vain. On the contrary, I worked harder than any of them, though it was not I, but the grace of God that is in me.
Oh, hey guys. Let me pause for a second.
