Homosexual Pride Parade, June 2019
Transcript
This episode is not safe for children or for anyone who finds hearing foul language to be a stumbling block to themselves or just a general offense. This episode will feature an open-air sermon that I preached in Cleveland on June 1, 2019 at a homosexual pride festival. You want to pray for me? Is this on? Go ahead and pray for me. Gracious God and Heavenly Father, we know that Jesus Christ is the true vine, and we are but mere branches.
If we are not connected to Him, we can do nothing, O God. And without your Holy Spirit enlivening Michael's preaching, it will become nothing but a ringing cymbal or a clanging gong. I pray that you would give him love and compassion, and pour out your Spirit upon him, and send your Spirit before him as he preaches, that you would rouse the souls of dead and incapacitated men.
Lord, please pour out your spirit on this place that some sort of revival or a harvest could take place. But if not, Lord, let us be kind in all our actions and speech that we may plow up the fallow ground, that seed may be planted, O God. I ask that you would be with Michael as he ascends the stairs and you would help him to have a great solemnity and fear of the Lord, that he may proclaim Christ as he ought to be proclaimed.
For Christ's sake. Amen. Well, I have good news. I have good news. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. Jesus Christ had two deaths.
Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. He had God the Father in heaven, and he had Joseph, an earthly father. I'm glad you're a Bible student, because then you would know that Jesus Christ was born of a virgin as predicted by all the prophets of old and Jesus Christ fulfilled all righteousness. That means that he constantly lived in the will of God.
He obeyed all of the laws of God at all times. There was never a time that Jesus Christ did not obey God. Jesus Christ is the one who said, love your neighbor as you love yourself. And because I love my neighbors, You, I am here to tell you truth that can save your soul. Just as somebody came and told me truth to save my soul. Do you have a question?
Yes, do you love thy neighbor as you love thyself? I just explained that. So for people who aren't listening, I'm here announcing the judgment of God so that you might flee God's wrath and get the forgiveness of God. And yes, that is exactly how I would like to be loved. I would like people to come and tell me if something dangerous was happening or if I was headed down the road to something dangerous.
I would want to be warned and I would want to be told how to avoid it. Now let me tell you about Jesus Christ. Though he was in the form of God, he did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped. But he emptied himself by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men and being found in human form, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross.
Therefore, because of Jesus Christ becoming obedient to the point of death, because Jesus Christ suffered and died on the cross for sinners and was buried, therefore God has highly exalted him. He has lifted him up. He raised him from the dead and Jesus Christ has ascended into heaven so that at the name of Jesus, every knee will bow in heaven and on earth and under the earth and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father.
The announcement today is the good news that there is hope in Jesus Christ. the apostle Paul told us that the works of the flesh are evident the apostle Paul tells us what the works of the flesh are he says idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife fornication the apostle Paul makes it clear that no one who does these things will inherit the kingdom of God rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies. I warn you that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God, but the fruit of the Spirit. The Spirit of God is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.
Against these there is no law. I see everywhere these shirts that say love wins. And love is going to win because God is love and God wins. And because God is love, God hates evil. And God hates all those who do wickedness every day. And even more so now that God has sent his son into the world to suffer the penalty that sinners deserve.
Because he has lifted Jesus up. and in your hearing the name of Jesus Christ is clear to you, because of that you will be held accountable for knowing about the forgiveness of God. Because the righteousness of God was put on display for all of us when Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners. When Jesus Christ was submissive to his earthly parents and he fulfilled all righteousness.
When Jesus Christ got baptized. John the Baptist said, I'm baptizing people for repentance from sin. I have no need to baptize you And Jesus said thus it is fitting that we should fulfill our righteousness Everything Jesus did was in accord with God law and God will He constantly communed with his Father through prayer and through the Word, and the Holy Spirit was his guide in all areas of life.
But we walk by the flesh and not by the Spirit. We are people who would prefer. If God hates gays, then why did he make me so fabulous? Because you are created in the image of God. Every one of us is a reflection of God to some extent. And we've all fallen short, though, of God's righteous standards.
God hates those who do wicked. And that includes every single one of us. God is a God of righteousness. God is a God of love and because he has he hates pride there are six things that Jesus Christ hates seven that are an abomination to him haughty eyes a lying tongue and hands that shed innocent blood a heart that devises wicked plans feet that make haste to run to evil a false witness who breathes out lies and one who sows discord among brothers.
God is a God of righteousness, and Jesus Christ is the one man of righteousness. Jesus Christ is the man who came into the world and did everything that was necessary for a human life. But not only that, he lived so righteously, and he is so perfect, that his unrighteous death, his unjust murder, is sufficient to forgive the sins of all those who come to him.
So the message today is believe in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins. You blaspheme God when you profess to be a Christian and live in unrepentant sin. You blaspheme God when you take his forgiveness and you presume upon it and you continue in sin. John said that all those who continue and sin are of the devil. You don't want to be a child of the devil.
You come to Jesus Christ. God the Father sent his son into the world to be the Savior of the world. Wearing a cross around your neck doesn't make you a Christian. Believing that Jesus Christ died for your sins and that he is your only righteousness before a holy God, that's what makes you a Christian. but Jesus said you must be born again when someone is born again that means they have new affections they love the things that God loves and they hate the things that God hates God hates fornication God hates hands that shed innocent blood but God loves his son Jesus Christ God loves his son Jesus Christ and Jesus Christ is the one who came and didn't have any pride.
He humbled himself to the point of obedience, even death on a cross. These people hate you. These people are using you and abusing you, and they hate you. And Jesus Christ, who loved you, you're willing to blaspheme, you're willing to speak evil of, while the very people who are using you, who hate you, are abusing you right now. People who teach you evil, hate you.
Anyone who would teach you to do evil, hate you, but God is love, and God loves his son, Jesus Christ, and God loves all those who come to him through Jesus Christ. There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness. There is forgiveness for detestability. There's forgiveness for cowardice. There's forgiveness for faithlessness.
There's forgiveness for murder, for sexual immorality, idolatry, sorcery, lying, stealing. There's forgiveness for all of these things. There's forgiveness for wicked false teaching. There's forgiveness for people who lie and say wrong things about God. But that forgiveness is found only through Jesus Christ. It is only through Jesus Christ that anyone can be forgiven of their sin.
God is not going to willy-nilly forgive everybody. It is only those who have suffered the consequence of their sin on Jesus Christ instead of on themselves. I don't need forgiveness. You need forgiveness. We all need forgiveness. Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners.
And the reason why he came into the world is that sinners cannot save themselves. There's nothing that a sinner can do to make themselves right before a holy God. So you know the Bible, right? I know the Bible. The only unforgivable sin is suicide. All sins are forgivable, but that doesn't mean they're all forgiven.
That was an excellent comment. I wonder if you could use less profanity if you're capable. Because God made you in his image, so you're a rational being. And you have intelligence, and you're different from the animals. And yet when you turn yourself over to the lust of your flesh, whether it's homosexuality, whether it's fornication, whether it's profanity and blasphemy, you actually demean yourself and make yourself into an animal.
And so we're here today to tell you how to know the righteous God. We're here to tell you that there's forgiveness for all sins. We've already forgiven you. Where have you been? God has only forgiven those who are in Christ Jesus. And all those who come to him he will never cast out This is the message of the gospel Jesus Christ came into the world to save sinners Even though Jesus Christ is God he left the throne of heaven humbled himself to the point of obedience to death on a cross.
Jesus Christ suffered a horrendous death, and it was a wicked act of men that killed Jesus Christ. But even more so, but even more so, Jesus Christ suffered the wrath of God in the place of his people. While we were yet sinners, Jesus Christ died for us is what the Bible says to believers. So while you're standing here today in your sin, while you are protesting, the proclamation of God's truth.
God himself has looked on sinners with pity. Nothing makes me special. I'm not like you. I don't think I have all the answers. I think the answer's in the Bible. I am not a false teacher.
I'm not a wicked blasphemer. You are a false teacher, and the difference between me and you is that Jesus Christ saved me by his grace. Jesus Christ saved me not because of works of righteousness, that I have done, but according to his mercy. And that is what Jesus offers to everybody. Because the fact of the matter is, it's as if this guy really thought I was saved, he'd leave me alone.
But he wants to oppose the message. Because we all believe something. We're all putting our faith in something. If your faith is in your righteousness, you're going to fall short. I don't care if you're gay. I don't care if you're straight.
I don't care if you're a virgin. Each and every one of us has fallen short of God's commands to be holy. Each and every one of us was conceived in sin. I can't hear you. Exactly. The reason I'm here is because I care.
Because I care, I'm here. to tell you the truth. I go to places where large groups of sinners are gathered and I tell them the truth of Jesus Christ. I go to Christian concerts and I do the same thing because I want people to hear that every one of us has fallen short of God's glory, that every one of us is a sinner in his eyes and deserving of his righteous wrath.
And I want you to know that God poured his righteous wrath for sinners out onto his son on the cross. So you can be forgiven. And that Jesus rose from the dead. Do you have a question? You don't have a question? This guy doesn't have a question and he doesn't have a microphone.
So I'm just going to keep preaching. The interesting thing is that everything turns sexual, doesn't it? I'm here preaching about the righteousness of Jesus Christ. I'm saying that every one of us is condemned in sin and the most common thing that people say to me is something sexual because for people who are involved in this lifestyle it's not about love, it's about lust because you cannot love somebody who you are using or abusing for your own sexual satisfaction but even worse, you don't get sexual satisfaction it's why you're angry It's why you're angry is because deep down inside there's a part of you that is never satisfied.
Because no matter how much you flip off the preacher, no matter how often you say bad things about Jesus Christ, you're the angriest person here. You can lie to yourself. We can all lie to ourselves. But the fact of the matter is that you can't be satisfied with anything but Jesus Christ. It is only Jesus Christ who can forgive you. It's only Jesus Christ who can save you.
Jesus Christ is the one who came into the world and fulfilled all righteousness. Not me, not you, not any of these people. It is only Jesus Christ who died for sinners. and anyone who does not repent and come to Christ is going to go to hell. I have to repent all the time. I have to repent all the time. We are here to tell you about the gift of repentance that God offers.
We're here to let you know that God loves sinners and he sent his son to die in the place of sinners. And if you are one of his sheep, you will hear his voice. His sheep hear his voice and they follow him. He gives them eternal life and they will never perish. And no one can snatch them out of the hands of Jesus. Jesus said, my Father who is greater than all has given them to me.
And no one can snatch them out of my Father's hand. So we're here to announce the forgiveness of sins. We're here to announce forgiveness. Forgiveness from not loving God. forgiveness from having idols in your life forgiveness from blaspheming god's name and using it improperly forgiveness from not keeping the sabbath forgiveness for the disobedience to your parents forgiveness for murder god told abel to kill his brother i didn't mean to laugh at you There's nothing more ignorant than people who don't know Jesus Christ.
There's forgiveness for the sin of murder. There's a forgiveness for the sin of adultery. There's forgiveness for the sin of lying. There's forgiveness for the sin of stealing. There forgiveness for just coveting your neighbor stuff for wanting things that aren yours God is a forgiving God Hey, I love everybody here, all of you. It's really good, guys.
That's what he has to say. Thank you. I love you too, and that's why I'm here, even though I disagree with you. Yeah, hey. Hey. Hey, I love you, and I'm here today because I want you to be free from the slavery to sin that you're living in.
I want you to be free of the bondage to sin. I want you to be free of yourself. I want you to be free in Jesus Christ, because whoever the Son sets free is free indeed. The Apostle Paul said, look out for the dogs. Look out for the evildoers. Look out for those who mutilate the flesh.
Because he says, we are the circumcision. He's talking about people of God have a changed heart. He's saying that people of God have a changed heart that loves the things God loves, that set their affections on the things that God loves. I couldn't hear you because I was speaking. Do you want to repeat that? Well, I'm here to give a message.
Yeah, I'm not ashamed of that. So I was trying to be polite. Hey, we're getting sexual again. This guy can't stop talking about sex while we're in a shirt about love. It seems to me that love has more to do with self-sacrifice than others. Love has more to do with what we do for others than what we get from others.
Love is about sacrificing ourselves. Love is patient and love is kind. Love does not rejoice in wrongdoing, but it rejoices in the truth. Love is not arrogant or rude. It's not boastful or resentful. But you guys do not love.
You love your sin. You love your sin, but you can't truly love sin. You're just stuck in it. It's like you have a slave master and you have Stockholm Syndrome. But I want you to be free. Be free of the sin that you live in.
Be free of Jesus Christ alone. And it's because Jesus Christ came into the world that there's forgiveness of sin. You are breathing his air. You're breathing God's air, and yet you don't thank him. For the wrath of God has been revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness and ungodliness of men. I'd like to talk to you for a minute.
What do you want? Can you wait a minute? I just want to talk to you. Yeah, let me finish and then I'll come down. Are you ready? Here's a gospel church.
Somebody? I'll come down in a minute. Let me just give you one final thought. The wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all unrighteousness and ungodliness of men who by their unrighteousness suppress the truth. Because what can be known about God is plain to them because God has shown it to them. Forever since the creation of the world, God's invisible attributes, namely his father.
He sure does tell us to. He says judge with righteous judgment. He says do not give dogs what is holy and do not cast your pearls before pigs. You should thank him that somebody still thinks of you as worthy of hearing the gospel. God tells us to judge and you're judging me right now. But every one of us knows there's a God It's been put in our heart.
It is on our heart to know God and to know His law. And so because of that, we're all accountable to God. We're all accountable to God. No, I'm preaching the scripture. I actually just quoted scripture and you got angry because the scripture accuses you of your sin. That's why you're nervous and shaking.
You're under conviction of sin. Do not resist the Holy Spirit. Today is the day of salvation. Be forgiven. Come to Jesus Christ. These people don't love you.
Jesus Christ, he is the one. Jesus Christ is the one who died for sinners. It is Jesus Christ. It's all. Again, it's always sexual, isn't it? It's always sexual.
Love is love. Love is love. Love is love. Love is love. He sure does. If you're an elected person.
I want to thank you. You guys have been a very good crowd. I'm going to step down. But don't worry, we'll get another guy up here who's even better than I am. All right? You can imagine.
Thanks. All right, brother? Yeah, I'm going to go talk to that girl. She had a question. Come with me. I'm going out to preach, brother.
Oh, okay, good. than Adam's ass. Did you have a cushion or something? Come over here so it's not so loud. Amen, brother. Hey, thanks, brother. Hi, I'm Michael.
I'm Hollis. What? I'm Hollis. Where are you from? I'm from Cleveland, but I go to Lakewood United Methodist Church. Okay.
Are you from a church? Yeah, I go to a church in Columbus. That's where I live. Yeah, I'm from Westlake, though. Pennant Archive. A Reformed Baptist church.
Yeah. Hi, I'm Michael. Hi, Michael. I'm Aviana. Aviana? Yeah.
Okay. You're the second Aviana I know. Really? Nice Italian name. Yeah. We get in trouble a lot.
I can't hear you. Actually, did you have a question or did you? Well, I just wanted to talk to you about, like, what you were doing. Yeah, what did you do? I understand your message. Like, I understand what you're trying to get across.
Like, the fact that God offers forgiveness, we just have to accept it. But, like, are there any other ways you can think about going about it? Because, honestly, I don't think you're getting through to them. Do you understand what I'm saying? Like, I don't think they're really, like... I'm asking the concept of what you're saying because they're so, like, right in their face, you know?
Yeah. People are talking about, like... Yeah, I know what you're saying. So, you're a Christian? Yeah. So, do you believe the Bible to be our authority as a Christian?
So, just, I'll give you one example, and you can look it up, or I've got my Bible if we want. If you read John chapter 6, Jesus is preaching. He's, like, the best preacher ever, right? Yeah. And whatever Jesus would do, we would think, well, we should be able to do the same thing. Well, Jesus preached, and at the end of John chapter 6, it actually says that they all went away from him because they did not believe.
And so if whether or not crowds seem to like the preacher is any judgment on whether the preacher was doing the right thing, then that means Jesus was doing the wrong thing, and I can't accept that. So the second thing is that theologically speaking, you understand that people have to go from being like a sinner who's not saved to a sinner who got saved, right? And so I believe that the Bible teaches that that happens.
I'm going to take these off. That that happens when God, the Holy Spirit, uses God's word to change someone's heart and makes them born again. and the Bible says the gospel is the power of God for salvation and it's God's word that is the power to revive hearts. So being here where people are and telling them God's word is actually the best hope that they'll get it.
It's almost as if everyone here has like poison ivy and I'm just like chucking out medicine. And those that rub it on, they're going to get healed and those that don't, don't. What you're saying is that it's their choice basically. well ultimately they have to reject it right or but the only chance they have of getting the message is if someone brings it to them they're not going to come to church well some people will we have like a statement on our doors that says come as you please We have different services.
We have a more traditional service with a Bible and readings from the hymns and stuff like that. And then we have an impact service. And basically what we do at our church is we welcome anyone into the church. Sure. Yeah, mine would too. And right now we actually have a sign out in front of our church, and it says God's doors are open to all.
Okay. And, well, I mean, because I go to a Methodist church, recently they had their big, you know, debate and stuff. And my pastor is very, like, open-minded, so he went and he was sharing his views and stuff like that. And, yeah, I just got that. So let me ask you this. Are you, like, at her church, or are you just listening because you're a friend?
I'm Christian, too. Okay. So let me ask you this. do you think that the Bible says homosexuality is a sin? Well, let's start here. Do you think the Bible says stealing is a sin? Yeah.
Do you think? Yeah? A lot of things that the Bible says have gotten lost in translation. Oh, really? Like, can you name one? Like, about how people say that Scripture that says that man shall not live with man, some people say we man shall not live with joy, and it's kind of really hard.
I've heard those arguments. Because one word could change everything. Well, if there was one spot in the Bible that said that sexual immorality was wrong, I'd agree with you. But from the very beginning of time, all sexual immorality has actually been based on a man and a woman being married in covenant love, and that's the only... So if somebody here is straight and they're fornicating, they're as big a sinner as a gay person okay so let me ask you this though so stealing's wrong it's a sin and if somebody gets saved by God they should want to stop stealing right and we should in fact tell people to stop stealing because stealing hurts people because it's sin right so that's where we're going to have to get that's where the disagreement is so I'm trying to lay a foundation so if homosexuality is sin which the Bible says it is it says it in 1 Corinthians 6 it says it in 1 Timothy it's repeated in the Old Testament too but even that, a guy that cheats on his wife he's sinning too do you think that that is a bigger sin than being gay? do you think all sins are equal? no, I don't think they're all equal let's face it if I cheated on my wife today is that worse than if I looked at a girl and then looked away, you know what I mean?
But I still sinned even if I looked at a girl right So there are bigger worse sins But see the problem with homosexuality is that it so rooted in people identity So if you talk to most homosexuals, they say, that's just how I am. Right? I agree that that's how they are. But we still need to repent of how we are. Like, what if somebody says they just love raping little boys?
There's people that do like that, and that's just how they are. That's not really comparable. Why? Because homosexuality doesn't hurt anybody. Making little boys hurts. Well, but I'm just asking, if somebody says that's just how I am as their reasoning, you can't, so obviously just how I am is not reason enough to be allowed to do whatever you want, right?
So next you'd have to argue or prove whether homosexuality... But at the same time, if you say that that's not enough, then you'd be taking away their freedom of expression. they're free to express themselves, but my concern is God's going to send people to hell for their sin. I think if you believe in Jesus and have Jesus in your heart, then God's going to...
So let me... So that's what I was trying to get to. Actually, it's a really good question. So what if I like raping little boys, but then I believe in Jesus as my Savior, but then I still like raping little boys. Would you believe me? You're going to say that they're not a true Christian.
Yeah, you wouldn't believe me, right? You would say, well, you're not really living the way the Bible told you. So the question is, do you believe what the Bible says about sexual sin, and do you really understand it? And if you believe it says it's okay, well, then it makes sense to kind of maybe even defend them, right? but if you believe that people who people who just look at porn are on their way to hell because they're violating god's law if you believe that homosexuals are on their way to hell for violating god's law if you believe if you believe men that cheat on their wives and are people that you know sex trafficking is like the biggest thing in the united states now like there's 200 000 girls your age right now being sold as prostitutes against their own will and then they're going to be made to get abortions and then they're going to be killed once they get old enough that men don't want them anymore and do you think that those people that are running that operation should be allowed to keep doing that of course not so the bible is clear about sexual let's start with the positive sex is reserved for a man and a woman who get married before god and and want to enjoy that anything else is sin.
So by its very nature, homosexual acts are already sin. You don't see animals doing it. Do you think it's any better if two homosexual people get married and then have sex? No, I don't. I mean, it'd be like, what if I married my mistress? Is that noble?
Would you say, well, that was a noble thing? divorce my wife after cheating on her and then marry my mistress, you'd be like, dude, you didn't do anything noble. You're just trying to cover up your evil by doing some righteous things on top of it, right? What makes homosexuality so embarrassing? Because it's unnatural. Animals do it. Not really.
I mean, it's a real perversion in any species for homosexuality to be normal at all. but even then saying that animals do something as a reason for rational human beings made in the image of God to do it it's a really bad argument right animals do lots of things that I would tell a human don't do that I would just say it's perverted yeah so god creates everybody right yeah it's a good question so think about this we'll just take an easy example who created judas and who was like the most wicked person who ever lived judas right i mean betrayed jesus like that but we'll just just as an example He actually confessed that he said he knew what he was doing. He says he says... Well, to an extent.
But that's why we're here telling people the consequences, right? If you remain in your sin, God's going to execute his wrath for sin on you, which will be eternity, because God's perfect. If you come to Jesus Christ and receive forgiveness, then Jesus Christ took on all your wrath and he is the forgiveness he is the righteousness that you can have and then if Jesus really forgave you why wouldn you serve him the rest of your life and want to do the things he said we should do This is a thing that people don't hear, and I say it, but I'm as wicked as anybody else, I'm as evil as anybody else.
The only difference between me and anybody else right now is if God saved me. 15 years ago, I was supporting these kinds of things. I'm like one of those people that was converted. I mean, I used to... How did you convert? Well, God converted me through the hearing of his word.
So that I came to love Jesus. Was it like something like this? There was some people who I was friends with because I started to have a divorce from my first wife. and they told me the gospel that I needed to repent of my sin and believe in Jesus. Yeah. Something in my eye. I'm sorry.
That's all right. But thank you for talking to us. Yeah, well, thank you for talking to me. There's a lot of people that talk and they're friendly and they just have a conversation. I appreciate that you're not like, you're going to go to hell if you're gay. Like, sort of like more.
Yeah, thanks. I hope that gives you a chance. If all these gay people here today stop being gay right now, and then they all got married to somebody that's opposite sex, and they would still be a sinner who needs a savior, right? So I don't focus on one sin, especially the one sin that I know fires people up, right? Yeah, oh yeah. Well, here, this is my website.
You can take one of those. Where do you live? I live in Cleveland. You're in Cleveland too? Okay. I'm from Westlake.
That's where I went to Westlake High School. I went to St. Ed's for one year. I'm not Catholic anymore. But that's Lakewood. That's a little closer to you than right here.
But I live in Columbus now. So how old are you guys? I'm 15. I'm 17. Okay, I have a 15-year-old and an 18-year-old daughter. And I was thinking, I bet they're real close to that.
Well, good. Well, it's good. Aviana? Yeah. And I'm so sorry. You said...
Hollis. It's a little unique name. It took me a minute. My dad named me after his favorite singer. Who's that? Mark Hollis?
I don't know who that is. I don't remember what band he's from. Oh, he's part of a band, part of a group. Okay. You guys have a safe, a good day. If you need anything at all, my website's got, like, you can just click on, like, contact us and email me or whatever.
And you can ask more questions or, you know, whatever. For sure. Yeah. Thank you. Yeah, have a really good day. Thanks.
Whoops. This guy knows how to clear the crowd, doesn't he? He's not secret sensitive, I guess. Hey man, good job. Thanks. Oh, you made it to the conference?
Yeah. I actually went through the crowd. I was going to get on like a bajillion tracks. Where? Oh, okay, good. Let's be honest.
They all appeal for the sweet, tender call of my friends. Yeah. Or they hate you. But it's one of those two. I like the show. came over and then what happened? The police left.
The police? Once this guy started preaching, everybody left. Oh, no. Was there something that happened? No, there was just a crowd and I think they just anticipated like, hey, if we're there they're less likely to rush the guy or something. So praise the Lord.
They may have saved my life. Amen. Yeah, that was unbelievable. They kept me here instead of with Jesus. thanks a lot did somebody come up and give you one of these no a couple girls came over give me one of those give it to that guy and i was like okay i talked to a couple of high school girls for like 15 minutes just now and they kind of methodist and they were asking really good questions you can tell they come really bad teaching so i was trying to figure out how to you can't dump everything on people, right?
But the one girl finally asked, well, if God makes everybody, then how are people gay? You're getting to the real heart of the issue here, you know? Amen. I said, if I was born a guy that wanted to cheat on his wife, do you think I should quit? Or do you think I should just say, well, that's how I am? Right.
I'm going to go say hi to Elisa. I haven't seen her yet. We were walking around and I walked around a witness We got chased by a couple people Oh yeah Yeah Yeah go ahead What fun what fun Hi, how are you doing? I'm good, how are you? I'm good. Starting right off there, jumping in.
Yeah, that was fun. It was, yeah. I like bigger crowds, personally. I don't think I did. Something did. You're a street preacher.
And it's been doing it for a while. And so you tend to hear the different tongues and the different guys that are preaching. Sure. And there's an authoritativeness that comes with some guys over some time of doing it. Some guys get up there and they just demand that authority. And that's what all these crowds, I think, that's what they're responding to.
Yeah, because it's authoritative, it's loud, it's like... Well, that's when they're like, who do you think you are preaching? Yeah, that's a good point. That's why I think guys like Tony Miano, even Robert Gray, who's very soft-spoken, Mike Stockwell, those guys, when they get up and preach, it's very authoritative. That's a military background, but I think it's just something the Lord gives you.
I agree. Some guys grow. I think it's going to get better and better as they reach. Yeah. We're all still learning and growing. This lady came up to us and said she used to be a Sunday school teacher.
She said since we were bothering her, she was going to follow us all day. But then after we tried to talk to her, she didn't follow us anymore. That's kind of her. That's kind of her. You know, if somebody came up and wanted to argue and they didn't cuss and they didn't try to do something sexual, that'd be, like, pretty cool. Like, hey, you just actually want to argue that maybe Leviticus says men shouldn't lie with little boys?
Okay, we can talk about that. But it's like, oh, you just need to make out with your dude buddy? like how is that love winning? Right. Well, by definition, if love is this free thing, then shouldn't you love us in return, no matter whether you like our message or not? And despite what they say about this is just love is love, and you pointed it out, that's not the issue here.
Because if it was just about love, you don't need to have a pride parade to deal with it. You can just go about doing loving to people around you. but I mean that's not the issue it's a sexual lust the bride of life it's heartbreaking to see how Anthony's going on you hope that in these people's quiet moments when they're at home having their 90th fight with their husband that they've had in 90 days that they start to think about maybe this isn't working you know what I mean the worst thing that can happen to one of these people is that God just lets them enjoy themselves. You know what I mean?
Because it was my misery and my sin that finally opened my eyes, my heart to even listening to Christians. It still took almost a year of Christians ministering to me before I believed. What a guy like me is going to have is just the boom of your voice. It really has. Yeah, they love that. Yeah.
He's more soft-spoken by nature. Thank you for listening to Be a Berean with your host, Michael Coughlin.
